Request in the app inside the service area
Request in the app, unlock the arriving car with the app, then tap Start Ride inside.
Use the official app and support route for the current area and rider conditions.

- Set up the app
Download the Waymo app and create an account.
- Choose a destination
Enter a destination; the app selects pickup and drop-off spots.
- Unlock and buckle up
Unlock in the app and buckle up. Maximum four riders, including children. Bring a child seat for under-eights and install it in the rear; the front passenger seat is for ages eight and above.
- Start the ride
Tap “Start Ride” on the passenger screen and follow the route.

Open the Zoox app and set your pickup and destination.
- Meet your Zoox
When Zoox arrives, the doors open. Check the vehicle shown in the app and step inside.
- Sit and buckle up
The ride will not begin until everyone is seated and wearing a seatbelt.
- Tap Start Ride
Tap “Start Ride” on the rider screen to begin.
